Goals for 2006 -2007

From Tunes to Technology $160,000 in ’06 – ‘07

It may sound like a lot of money to raise, but with 8,000 students in Redondo Beach public schools that is only $20 per student!

With your help and the help of our community we want to save music in the elementary schools, improve technology at the middle schools and high school, and make sure the popular middle school Intramural Sports Program stays on track.

$50,000 for Elementary School Vocal Music: The Redondo Beach Education Foundation has been asked to provide for about ¼ of the cost of this cherished program.

$30,000 at Adams Middle School:
Technology: $20,000 — Computers for Language Arts classrooms
Intramural Sports: $7,500 — Free after school sports program
Video Production: $2,500 — Equipment for the new Video Production Studio.

$30,000 at Parras Middle School:
Technology: $22,500
Intramural Sports: $7,500 — Free after school sports program

$50,000 for Redondo Union High School: Educational technology includes everything from computers to interactive learning systems that enable students to engage in research projects, visual learning, collaborative groups, problem-solving and dynamic discussions. RUHS will use this grant to help enhance the way students learn by expanding the scope of classroom technology.

Thanks to all of the truly wonderful people who volunteer time, energy and services to help our children!
