2024 … I will never forget the day my oldest came home from his field trip to RUHS when he was a 5th grader wearing a “Class of 2024” t-shirt. It seemed like 2024 was so far in the future. But alas, it is here. So as a parent of a senior, I want to give a special shout out to the Class of 2024 (and their parents) as they enter their final semester with RBUSD.

If your kids still have a few years to go before they are looking at what comes next, remember to stop and enjoy it all. Some days feel hectic as we scurry from school to practice while eating in the car and reviewing for their social studies test. Some days seem long as you try and explain what a tape diagram is to your second grader (what is a tape diagram?). And none of us will ever forget the combined look of fear and excitement on our 5 year old’s face when we dropped them off for their first day of Kindergarten.

But the thing that strikes me the most as I reflect on the past 13 years as an RBUSD parent is the sense of community we have here. I am incredibly grateful for our “Redondo Family”. Thank you for being a part of it.

Now let’s enjoy all the celebrations this Spring. From dances to school carnivals to the RBEF Light Up the Night event, the Spring is a time when we have many opportunities to come together with our Redondo Family.

With gratitude,

Kristi Bieber
